Lab 1:

The first code that we uploaded to the Arduino was to make the motor turn on and off with a second in between. When we plugged in the power, the motor just started immediately started running and never stopped. The exact same thing happened when we tried to upload the second set of code, which was supposed to make our potentiometer control the motor. We had no luck with trying to switch the type of diode we had (we couldn't find the 400x, closest was 4002). That might have had something to do with it, and we also could not get our hands on a lightbulb in time (we didn't realize the shop wouldn't have it).

Someone then pointed out that we were using the wrong transistor. After switching out our transistor, everything worked for the first code that makes the motor turn off and on every other second.

Lab 2:

I was missing some parts (replacing the motor in the lab with just my servo motor, a button instead of the toggle switch). The ER ran out, but I did the best I could. When I plugged everything in, nothing ran, but I was unsure if the problem was my replaced parts since I believe everything else was plugged in correctly and so was the code. Unfortunately, I had food poisoning yesterday so I was doing the lab at home instead of on the floor with everyone else so I could not benefit from any group think or ask for help.
