Electronic Review Questions

With the electronic review questions, I wish that I could have seen the correct answers so that I may review, but the ones I had the most trouble with were the ones at the end that asked about the relationship between voltage, current, and resistance with components in parallel and series.

Lab: Digital Input and Output

This week I had a much easier time with the labs. The first one I had no trouble with after I was able to figure out how to upload my code correctly.

Lab: Analog Input

For the life of me I could not figure out why my circuit was not working the way it was supposed to. I had triple checked my wires and my code, but the LED light was still not lighting up when I turned the dial. I knew that my code was good because when I checked the monitor, it was showing the inputs from the dial. Luckily, Ian was in the room next to me and I asked him to take a quick look. After seeing that everything I had was in the right place, he suggested that I change the resistor to a less strong one. I did, and just like that my LED and dial worked!

Lab: Sensor Change Detection

This lab was also relatively straight forward for me. While I could not get my hands on a sensor (the floor had run out), I simply used the dial again. I actually had fun and realized that I was starting to understand much better how to put together a circuit, and understanding how it worked.
