This week's lab was a little confusing. There was an issue with my hardware that I could not figure out. It gets quite frustrating when something I was able to successfully (get input from a button) a bunch of times over for my midterm is all the sudden giving me so much difficulty here.

I got this from the serial monitor:

The numbers were totally random and me moving my potentiometer or pressing my button had nothing to do with the numbers changing.

And here was my circuit (I double checked and I was pretty sure it was all correct. I changed the resistor, even some wires that I thought maybe had gotten squashed in my backpack (I'm not sure if that would make a difference):

I do believe that my p5 code was at least somewhat successful because everything worked except for the part where the hardware was connected.

Ok, well it is quite late so I will try to troubleshoot in the morning if I can. Very disappointing but I hope I can figure it out.

My group project:

We made some headway on the code and the idea for our project. We are coding a game that will be able to be played with a controller that features a joystick and a button. Currently, the joystick needs to get reordered because I think someone stole my Amazon package. But the code for the game is well on its way (I need to add a timer or else the player can't lose, but adding the timer is proving to be more difficult for me than I originally anticipated).
